Happy New Year! I visited RHS Wisley gardens for a quick wintery walk. I love watching the way nature transforms our surroundings throughout the year and Wisley is such a beautiful place to observe these changes.
It was so magical in the Spring.
And glorious in the Summer when the rose gardens were in full bloom…
And the orchards were absolutely heaving in the Autumn, fruitful with tempting edible offerings.
Flowerbeds were tall with a hazy glow of dizzying Echinacea…
Now it paints a different picture.
Crisp and clear-cut silhouettes of trees that still hold a colourful Autumnal warmth…
Reminding us that brighter times are only round the corner.
Details about RHS Wisley and opening times can be found on their website.
It’s actually quite lovely in its steadiness.
Spellcheck. “Starkness”, not steadiness.
Thank you. Yes I agree, the garden is equally beautiful in its starkness as well as in flower!
