Wisley Through The Seasons
Happy New Year! I visited RHS Wisley gardens for a quick wintery walk. I love watching the way nature transforms our surroundings throughout the year and Wisley is such a beautiful place to observe these changes.

History of Horsley Towers
Architect Sir Charles Barry is perhaps best known for designing the Houses of Parliament and Highclere Castle (of Downton Abbey fame) but his work can also spectacularly be seen in Surrey. Claremont Landscape Garden
I went to Claremont Landscape Garden in Esher eager to catch the golden-copper colour trees and to learn a bit more about the history of the gardens.
Haslemere
I went to Haslemere ahead of the Christmas Market (which is on this Sunday 7th December) to see Surrey’s most southerly town.
Winkworth Arboretum
I went to Winkworth Arboretum in Godalming for a jaunty jaunt to see the glorious changing colour of the pullulating trees in crisp Autumn sunshine (if you think that’s an exhausting sentence, then think of it as foreshadowing the photographic action in this blogpost). It’s an absolutely beautiful place to visit. At 110 acres, you will walk far amongst the trees that were thoughtfully planted to paint a nourishing vista, with vibrant ambers in between brilliant copper foliage.
Brockham Bonfire
I wouldn’t be doing my job properly if I didn’t mention Surrey’s most famous fireworks display: The Brockham Bonfire extravaganza.
Polesden Lacey
I last visited Polesden Lacey in Surrey a couple of years ago in the middle of Summer, when the gardens were heaving with the smell of pink and white roses and the sky was a potent Azure blue.
The Medicine Garden in Cobham
I went to visit The Medicine Garden in Cobham for a bit of a rest and relaxation.
