‘He was considered a violent and dangerous patient (…) After he killed his father, his rooms were searched and a portfolio was found containing likenesses of many of his friends all with their throats cut.’

So artist Richard Dadd’s condition was described in his Casenotes from Bethlem, a psychiatric hospital, in 1854.

Travel Beauty

For me, beauty is at its best when it’s simple and straightforward… particularly when travelling. An indolent makeup bag, if you will. These are the products that I took away with me when I went to Cambridge. Compact, light, mini products with no big bulky breakable bottles and no brushes – and bearing in mind I had a formal family wedding to attend – I covered all makeup bases. Here goes!
