Staycation Travel

On my person in my handbag on my staycation this year is:

A Month in the Country by J.L. Carr: Tom Birkin is a haunted survivor of World War One and spends the summer restoring a medieval wall-painting in a church in a village in Yorkshire. Beautifully and richly sentimental, this semi-autobiographical novel is a charming companion for your holiday in Great Britain. And at only 85 pages, it’s a quick read for a  return train journey home.

Radley Purse: This leather purse will keep your tickets and passes in order in a bright raspberry hue.

Watch: At last! Not a ridiculously big watch to weigh you down on your travels. It is run on solar power too, so you won’t have to change the battery.

Chanel No5: A bottle of perfume perfection.

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Plushest Punch: Keep one in your handbag for when you need to smarten up your favourite jeans and well-trodden shoes to get into that smart restaurant in town.

Adult Travel Bands: I often feel quite nauseous when travelling so I wear these on my wrists and, based on Acupressure, the bands touch a certain point which can help alleviate the symptoms of travel sickness.

Champneys Harmonious Hands Restoring Hand and Nail Cream: I can’t be the only one who still needs hand cream on the go in the Summer? This mini tube works moisturising miracles.

Summer Snood: Just because it’s Summer it doesn’t mean we need to forgo our favourite cover-up. This sweet two-pattern light snood protects your neck against the chilly sea breezes.
