The next day and night took us into the centre of Cambridge.
With a free morning, we walked through the shops and idyllic side streets…
It was a Saturday so it was pretty packed with people and haptic gestures at the market…
And graduands grasping golden gerberas!
We checked into our new hotel, The Varsity in Cambridge. It’s right in the middle of Cambridge and so very welcoming and delightful. I knew I’d love it as soon as I saw the wallpaper in the room: shades of blue on cream in a beautiful Provençale pattern!
In the afternoon we went to a family wedding and then we returned to the hotel in the evening for dinner in the fantastic restaurant (fillet steak is an absolute must!).
And a drink on the roof terrace at sunset, which had panoramic views across Cambridge.
Jacket: Topshop (an old favourite, now in the sale)
Silk shirt, last year’s Somerset by Alice Temperley at John Lewis, similar here.
Black culottes – a great option for a wedding, I highly recommend! Now a bargain in the sale: Pied a Terre.
Hat (you know how much I love it!) M&S
Gold shoes: Clarks (now in the sale too)
A truly wonderful day in Cambridge! (Fashion note: I’d really love a Cambridge Satchel Company satchel. I went into the shop and it was the most beautiful space EVER!).
