As you may know, my blog has been shortlisted in the UK Blog Awards 2015. And the UK Blog Awards have launched a great new competition, in association with Debenhams, to win a pair of tickets to the awards evening in April, which, excitingly, is Alice in Wonderland themed! The challenge is: ‘To create a Blog post with a moodboard of an Alice in Wonderland inspired outfit with Debenhams clothing.’
It sounded like a fun opportunity to get creative, so I thought I’d take part! I really enjoyed putting this look together, I hope you like it.
Here is my entry. My theme and take on the moodboard competition is: What would Alice wear today?
From top, left to right:
Coast Carys Dress (Debenhams Exclusive)
A beautiful pale blue dress that embraces the Spring/Summer 2015 Pastel Colours trend perfectly. Alice would absolutely love this dress.
The Collection Aqua Embellished Spot Jumper
A cute jumper for Alice to put on when times get cold on her adventures! Also, this jumper would fashionably ‘dress down’ the blue dress. Ideal.
J by Jasper Conran Designer Pale Pink Satchel Bag
In keeping with the soft pastel colours, this designer satchel is a cool bag for Alice to keep things in on her journey.
Floozie by Frost French Designer Pink Embellished Hair Band
To add a little pink sparkle to Alice’s hair-do that nicely compliments the pink satchel bag.
Red Herring Green Floral Mid Sandals
Comfy, practical and beautiful. Alice would like the on-trend chunky heel and gorgeous colourful floral design.
Red Herring Two Tone Hearts Scarf
A sweet love heart scarf that goes from red to peach colours. The Queen of Hearts would approve!
Red Herring Crystal and Pearl Floral Stacker Ring Set
Alice could choose to stack her rings as she pleases with this lovely ring set.
Dior Vernis True Colour, ultra-shiny, long wear in 575 ‘Wonderland’
The name of the shade says it all! Super shiny bold pink nails would suit Alice for her Wonderland Adventures.
Armani Exchange Ladies Rose Gold IP Plated Case and Bracelet Watch
Time is a very important theme in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and this rose gold watch is a lovely reminder of that. Here is a quote from the book at the Mad Hatter’s tea party where they discuss watches: “Alice had been looking over his shoulder with some curiosity. ‘What a funny watch!’ she remarked. ‘It tells the day of the month, and doesn’t tell what o’clock it is!’ ‘Why should it?’ muttered the Hatter. ‘Does your watch tell you what year it is?’ ‘Of course not,’ Alice replied very readily: ‘but that’s because it stays the same year for such a long time together.’ ‘Which is just the case with mine,’ said the Hatter.”
Vivienne Westwood Naughty Alice Eau de Parfum and Vivienne Westwood Cheeky Alice Eau de Toilette Spray
No ensemble would be complete without fragrance and Alice would need two perfume choices. Whatever her mood at the time, Alice has both of these perfumes on hand to spritz at her pulse points!
