Christmas Makeup

For me, Christmas Day is an opportunity to dress up a bit. And that sentiment extends to my face.

If on Christmas morning my skin needs a little coverage, then I will reach for Dior Diorskin Star Foundation (£32.50) for a light, glowy finish.

With any luck I’ll just be dotting my favourite Clinique Airbrush Concealer (£19) under my eyes and on any small blemishes. Literally the best concealer ever.

On my cheeks a little Clinique Blushing Blush Powder Blush in ‘Smouldering Plum’ (£22.50) is the one. I normally favour a warm pink blush, but winter is the perfect time of year to wear a cooler blush colour. This is a lovely, flattering tawny-plum shade.

Keeping with the plum-toned look, this Nails Inc nail varnish in Piccadilly  Court (£13) is a beautifully deep cranberry red colour, ideal for Christmas Day!

Cranberry nails -> cranberry lips. This lovely Rosie for Autograph Lip Glossy from Marks and Spencer in ‘Supermodel Smile’  (£12.50) is a take on the ever-popular lip crayon. Moisturising, shiny colour, it should last through the many mouthfuls of Christmas fare.

Urban Decay eyeshadow

For eyes, yes, you guessed it. The Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette (£38.50) is absolutely fantastic. From pale matt pinks to shimmery copper colours, this palette has it all!

A soft grey-toned black eyeliner for a gentle smoky eye is perfect for Christmas Day. One thin line of Max Factor Colour Perfection Eyeliner (£9.99) will provide subtle definition for your eyes.

Christmas Chanel No 5

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a little Chanel No5 (£49).
