RHS Hampton Court Flower Show Press Day is always a great show. Gardens, flowers and blue sky… I’ll jump right in with the gardens!
One of the first gardens I saw was the Santa Rita Living Garden, inspired by a visit to Chile.
Bright, colourful and textured. it’s an eye-catching space!
The Limbcare Garden is a tranquil space.
The aim of the garden is to launch Limbcare’s appeal to build a Wellbeing Centre for amputees.
It’s as expressive in its planting as it is in its sculpture work.
A bridge crosses running water, with grasses swishing in the breeze.
Beautiful!
The Great Gardens of the USA features plants inspired by Oregon.
The mountainous landscape and rich heritage of fruit provide the integral components for this garden.
A Garden at the End of the Earth has a wall made of scallop shells.
It brings a whole new glistening dimension to a ‘walled garden’.
We were just in time to watch Raymond Blanc give a cooking demonstration…
He was using his mother’s recipe and he explained he always gets emotional when cooking from his family’s cookery book…
The Family Garden is a lovely one.
For an environmentally-conscious family, it is inspired by the magical impression a garden can have on children.
It instills an awareness of our collective responsibility towards our natural surroundings. I particularly liked this giant wooden pear!
The Health and Wellbeing Garden is designed as a contemplative haven.
Tranquil water and pretty paving leads the visitor through a garden in a continuous loop, encouraging walking meditation, a mindful practice that creates a calming rhythm to soothe the mind and bring conscious thought back to the present moment.
It was so so hot and sunny.
I was very happy in my new floral dress from Cath Kidston.
I’ll put part two up tomorrow!
