Here is an idea for a simple spring supper.
Chicken, pasta and asparagus (my favourite season is asparagus season) are great companions for the plate.
It couldn’t be easier to prepare! For four people you will need:
1 organic chicken (or if you’re cooking for one or two people. just buy a couple of chicken breasts)
Pasta
Asparagus
Salad Dressing
Pop the chicken in the oven and cook (as per cooking instructions re: weight of the meat)
Once it’s nearly cooked, boil some water in a large saucepan and cook pasta shapes (I like Rigatoni!)
Prepare the asparagus (a tip from Mary Berry: take the asparagus in your hands and try to snap the ends off and where it will naturally separate is the best part!) and wash it before boiling in a smaller saucepan.
Once the pasta is done, quickly cook the asparagus. Finely slice the chicken and plate up. Drizzle over a little salad dressing and I’ll race you to the table!
