If you go down to Wisley today, you’re sure of a big surprise.
There are some BIG changes and plans in the pipeline for RHS Wisley!
Specifically, a four-year plan.
The changes are already well-underway in the car park area.
A new entrance is being built, throughout 2017 and halfway through 2018.
The new Welcome Building will also feature a new cafe, shop and plant advice centre, set to open in the summer of 2018.
A ‘Green Travel Plan’ has been devised to provide alternative transport options for visitors, although the RHS have said that they are also ‘consolidating car parking spaces to make parking easier’ too.
Before I show you the rose garden at the moment, I have raided my archive of photographs for us to dwell on what it used to look like…
It looks slightly different now…
I couldn’t really get any closer and I’m afraid I’m not sure what is going on…
But I am sure the RHS have something wonderful up their sleeves and in their gardening gauntlets! It might be undergoing a special rose treatment and be put back exactly as it was (?) – I’ll update you when I find out.
It’s not all change, there are still some familiar sights and views.

It looks like a very busy time for Wisley! I for one, am very very excited.
