Some places never change.
JMW Turner painted ‘The Thames from Richmond Hill‘ in 1815 and the view hasn’t changed much since then…
The same could be said for Richmond.
I used to go to Richmond a lot when I was young…
So when I returned, a few days ago in the blazing sunshine, I assumed it would have changed, as places often do.
But, no. It has hardly changed at all!
Even behind the streets, you will find a pretty view…
Historic architecture and cobbled streets meet my camera’s needs.
We walked from the river past the museum…
Nipping down a side street off the high street…
… To the green!
And the famous Richmond Theatre!
It’s a wonderful place to visit.
If only to see how little it has changed.
