Aurelia Skincare Review

When it comes to skincare, I like to keep things simple. For cleansing my dry, dehydrated and very sensitive skin that’s full of personality, I’ve long been an advocate of, what I call, the ‘Balm then Buff’ regime: a creamy balm cleanser massaged into dry skin which is then slowly buffed off with a hot wet cloth. It’s the best way to thoroughly cleanse your skin as the cloth also gently exfoliates and removes makeup perfectly.

I’d heard such good things about Aurelia – a relatively new brand that was founded in 2013 – known for their revolutionary probiotic technology in skincare products as well as BioOrganic ingredients, that when I was sent their ‘Miracle Cleanser’ and ‘Revitalise and Glow Serum’ to try, my mitts were quick to dispense the liquids over my face.

It’s an absolutely lovely cleanser and it really feels like it’s super cleaning your skin! With ingredients such as Eucalyptus, Chamomile, Rosemary and Bergamot, it reminded me a bit of the cult Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish cleanser. If you’re a fan of the Liz Earle and fancy a change or a ‘zooped up’ version, you’ll love this Aurelia Miracle Cleanser. A little goes a long way too: for £34 you get a big glass pot of creamy cleanser that will last for months (and a special bamboo muslin cloth, although when this is in the wash you can use a normal facecloth in between time). A wonderful beauty find!

I particularly loved the ‘Revitalise and Glow Serum’: three drops over your entire face and neck on a makeup free Sunday is such skin treat. My skin was softer and more radiant, impressively, for days after.

I’m so glad I’ve discovered this brilliant British brand and I can’t wait to try more! Consider me completely hooked.
